What Beautiful little shop! It is well laid out, with a light and airy feel. As we entered the beautiful and stylish Alice welcomed us warmly, and was well prepared for our visit.
Alice is surprisingly young for a shop owner, at only 24. After doing a few months of vintage fairs, she opened in February this year. Alice has a fashion buying background for high street retailers but has always had a love for vintage, so decided to open up her dream vintage shop! She says, “I did a vintage fair in The Corn Exchange and fell in love with the place!” I say “Here! Here! What’s not to love?”
Since she was at Uni in Manchester, Alice has always vintage shopped, so she had clearly in her mind what her own vintage shop would be. She created a girly vintage heaven! Her shop is a pastel paradise full of handpicked fashionable clothing. She takes out the hard part about vintage shopping, which is going through rails and rails of clothing to find the hidden gems, and handpicks all of her clothing, so everything is a treasure!
Everything is fashionable, of good quality and truly vintage! Alice says, “I wanted to create a different kind of vintage shopping experience, a boutique experience with an affordable price tag!”
I really loved how there was beautiful vintage furniture, in lovely pastel colours. A girly girls paradise! And everything was displayed impeccably. Everything was easy to find, and all beautiful. We asked what Alice’s favorite item in the shop was, and she chose…
Which was a dreamy dress!!! I think it only cost about £25! It looked beautiful on Lyndsey la Velle
This Dress is still available to buy – just get in contact with Alice, and mention this Blog. She will be more than happy to send it out to you!
I tried on a cute little dress, which was so soft, light, and floaty for the summer.
But what I really fell in love with was…
This beautiful paisley skirt which had pleating on the hips to give that lovely poof effect. Scrummy! It was only £25. I am now regretting not purchasing it!!! Hmmmm… lust… lust…
Alice really gave attention to detail. Even in the dressing room, there was a gorgeous sign which read:
“Vintage
is ‘Rediscovering’ objects that have a story to tell…
That have been loved, and lost, and loved again
Vintage — to re-imagine, to adorn, to treasure”
It is these little quirks that gave it a special touch.
My star buy from this store would have to be the Leather Satchels. They come in every colour, and are lovely soft leather. And only £55 which I think is an amazing bargain! I am partial to this beautiful mint green one…
